Plane Physics Experiment
I made a simple flight sim using Godot 4 rigid body physics. The 3d models were made with blender. I hope to expand on this project, I would like to use what I have done here to make a bigger project. I am hoping to make a word war 2 combat simulator game. Currently There are only 2 aircraft, a Grumman Wildcat and a Mitsubishi Zero but I plan to add more.
Update:
I have had to drop the web version owing to technical shortcomings with the compatability renderer (and probably myself also).
Update:
Added controller support- On the Web version the controller works on my desktop pc but not on my laptop for some reason I dont know why.
Update:
Added autopilot function. Pressing 'p' activates autopilot and the plane will attempt to land at the home runway. Unfortunately it will ignore terrain in its path, so beware of that!
Update:
Added new scenery and fixed a few things
Update:
Added the aircraft carrier USS Lexington (CV-2), its not the best modelled but it will do I hope. Also added the following things:
Arrester hook to the wildcat.
The ability to speed up time be careful using this it can become jittery.
Navigation groups to the autopilot
Update:
Added Formation flying
The autopilot now has a formation flying mode. To switch between autopilot modes press 'M ' when the autopilot is on.

VERY REALISTIC WOW
It says this. What do I have to do to run it?
Sorry I'm not sure what to do. It worked on my Windows PCs running chrome and edge.
Oh, thanks. I was triing to run it on Firefox on LinuxPC. But on Chrome it's working good. Great game/simulator btw :)
Its a nice gam and i like the visuals, however it does feel like im fighting the plane for control, it is hard to get it to go where i want as it would just pitch up, sway by it self.
Thanks for the feedback. I think I will have to tweak things a bit.
Feels alot better :) keep up the good work
